Driving Directions to the LIGO Livingston Observatory

From New Orleans:
- The drive from New Orleans airport is 60 mi. long and takes about 1 hr
- From the New Orleans airport, take I-10 West
- Take Exit I-55 North (towards Hammond)
- Take Exit I-12 West (towards Baton Rouge)
- Take Exit 22 (Frost/Livingston)
- Turn off ramp onto Highway 63 North (left if coming from Baton Rouge; right if coming from New Orleans) and continue until the traffic light is reached
- Turn left onto Highway 190 West and continue for about 1/4 mile
- Take first right onto Highway 63 North and continue for about 4 miles
- Turn left onto LIGO Lane. There is a LIGO sign at the intersection. This road (about 1.5 mi) leads directly to the observatory

From Baton Rouge:
From the Baton Rouge airport, take I-110 South (towards Baton Rouge)
- At the Mississippi River bridge, I-110 turns into I-10
- After the College Drive exit, the interstate splits into I-10 and I-12. Take I-12 (towards Hammond)
- Exit at Livingston/Frost (Exit 22)
- Turn left off ramp onto Highway 63 North and continue until a traffic light is reached
- Turn left onto Highway 190 West and continue about 1/4 mile
- Take first right onto Highway 63 North and continue for about 4 miles
- Turn left onto LIGO Lane. There is a LIGO sign at the intersection. This road (about 1.5 mi) leads directly to the observatory
