Meals and LSC Dinner
The Holiday Inn has an attached restaurant / sports bar
[Guy Hollorin's], which offers breakfast. There are several
other eating establishments right behind the hotel: Mark's
Midtown Coney Island for breakfast / lunch / dinner; Quizno's
Sub and Bewon Korean Cuisine for lunch / dinner. Somewhat longer
walks away [across Plymouth Road - a busy thoroughfare] are
Applebee's, Big Boy, and Carson's American Bistro.
A variety of restaurants and fast-food joints can be found for
lunch along South University Avenue, just east of campus. There
is also a student union with a food court (lower level) at the
corner of South University and State Street.
More information on Ann Arbor restaurants is available
here
Generally, most of the best restaurants are in the downtown area
[several blocks west of campus], but if you're not picky or if in
a hurry, you can make do with what is available near campus and
near the hotel.
The conference dinner will be held Saturday
at 6:30 p.m. in the Hussey Room on the 2nd floor of the Michigan
League, located on the northwest corner of North University Avenue
and Fletcher Street.
Please contact Beth Demkowski (demkowsk@umich.edu,
734.615.5811) with any special dietary requirements in advance.
Refreshments and snacks will be available during morning and
afternoon breaks of the LSC and of the F2F meetings.

Directions
Please see Travel Information page maintained by Michigan Center for Theoretical Physics for information
on reaching Ann Arbor from the Detroit-Wayne Metropolitan Airport [DTW].
Parking
Parking is very limited around the campus. As buses will be
provided for shuttling participants from the hotel to campus
and back at the start and end of Saturday and Sunday, it
should not be necessary to use a car in Ann Arbor. In
addition, the hotel has its own small shuttle bus,
available for trips to central campus and downtown.
Nonetheless, if you do try to park near campus, there
are some options discussed
here,
the most attractive of which is probably the
Forest Street structure, three blocks from the Physics Department.
