A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn North Campus for a rate of $89 / night. All rooms have high-speed internet. The hotel lobby has an Avis rental car kiosk. Please state that you are attending the LIGO Scientific Collaboration meeting (LIGO is the keyword).

Directions to hotel by car

For any attendees wanting more room and kitchen facilities, the Hawthorn Suites offers larger rooms. No Block has been set aside but as of May 2 more than 20 suites (studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom) remained available. The Hawthorne is adjacent to Holiday Inn

On Saturday and Sunday buses will be provided at fixed times in the morning and afternoon / evening to take attendees to and from the campus and Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn and Hawthorn also share a small shuttle bus for taking guests to points within Ann Arbor, including central campus (on-call service up to 6:00pm on weekdays - by prior arrangement other times). The estimated single-passenger taxi cost (1-way) from the Holiday Inn to central campus is $11-12.

Small numbers of rooms at higher rates are available within walking distance of central campus at the Bell Tower Hotel and Campus Inn.
