Computing
We have created an SSID called "LIGO-Conference". Please contact
LIGO Computing support for login/password.
To access the network, attendees should connect to the above SSID. Once
they open a web browser and try to connect to a site, they will be
directed to a login screen. If they enter the username and password
and accept the AUP, they will then be redirected back to the originally
requested site. Other network services will also be enabled after they
accept the AUP.
Attendees that have not registered their MAC address will need to use
the Caltech Guest SSID. Note that it is limited to the following
services: HTTP, HTTPS, SSH and VPN.
There will be a limited number of wired connections for the F2F and some
of the breakout sessions. There will not be any wired access for the
plenary sessions.
Please make sure your computer is up to date on patches and other
related security software.
Please contact Larry Wallace
[wallace_l@ligo.caltech.edu, +1.626.395.2974]
if you have any questions.
