Greater Los Angeles area is served by several major airports: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Burbank Bob Hope Airport (BUR), Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB), and LA/Ontario Airport (ONT). Of these, LAX has the most flights; it is also best accessible by public transit. A non-stop international flight is most likely to fly in and out of LAX. For domestic flights, BUR is a somewhat more convenient alternative.
SuperShuttle is a door-to-door shared-ride van shuttle service available at all greater Los Angeles airports. A ride from LAX to a Pasadena address will cost about USD 30.00 for 1st passenger in the party, and USD 9.00 for each additional passenger. A ride from BUR will cost about USD 23.00 for 1st passenger in the party, and USD 9.00 for each additional passenger. The other airports are not well connected by mass transit, and are only a feasible option for those renting a car. In addition to the fare, it's customary in the U.S. to tip the driver a few dollars, especially for handling heavy luggage.
Online SuperShuttle reservations or call +1 800 BLUE VAN (258 3826) (toll-free in the U.S.).
Caltech has negotiated a rate discount for SuperShuttle rides between LAX and Caltech campus. Disounted rates, discount code, locations, reservation information
